  • Setting up Calibre Server and OPDS in Marvin

    Set up and make sure Calibre server is running

    • Go to Calibre, choose “Preferences” and “Change calibre behavior.”

    • Choose “Sharing over the net”.

    • Enter an optional port number, username and password.

    • Click “Start Server”.
    • Now Calibre should be running.
    • Make note of the IP address or local name of your computer.

    Connect to Calibre using OPDS:

    • Launch Marvin, tap the Cloud icon at the bottom of the home screen and choose OPDS.

    • In the favourites popup, tap the button to create a new favourite.

    • In the new popup, give your favourite a friendly name such as “My Laptop”.
    • In the address field. Type in the address of the computer running Calibre, the port and “/opds” at the end. Remember the colon between the IP address of your computer and the port number.

    • A typical Calibre address will look like - 192.168.0.2:8080/opds
    • You can enter a user name and password if you set one up.
    • Save your new favourite.
    • Test everything by choosing your computer from the favourites popup. You should see something like:
